On June 8 and 10, during the second week of the conference, industry leaders will continue the discussion of design and construction of deep mixing, highlighting Field Performance and Design aspects of deep mixing technology, respectively.
June 8 will start with a keynote lecture on the integral role of the contractor in achieving the design properties of soil mixed material. This presentation will highlight the performance variables required to produce a successful soil mixed project balanced against achievable production and economy. Three presentations selected from the technical papers will be presented highlighting construction methods and field test experiences.
On June 10, a keynote lecture will present the philosophy of design and execution of deep mixed walls for retaining structures.
Workshop chairs will lead overview presentations on the technical papers in each main topic to allow attendees to grasp the main findings of the proceedings and their impact on deep mixing practice and guide attendees to the recordings in the online conference system. Structured discussion will end each conference day highlighting the main trends and topics and suggesting future work and focus areas.
