June 15 & 17 Workshops Overview

On June 15 and 17, during the final week of the conference, industry leaders will present the latest research and case histories on the use of deep mixing for Liquefaction Mitigation and Environmental Remediation.

June 15 will include a fundamental keynote lecture on the use of deep mixing to mitigate the effects of earthquake-induced liquefaction for a wide range of civil projects highlighted with case histories.  Three presentations selected from the technical papers will follow the keynote, presenting the latest findings and recommendations from leading researchers.

On June 17, a keynote lecture will summarize the latest developments in research and application of both shallow and deep mixing in land remediation.  Three illustrative and challenging case histories selected from the technical papers will follow the keynote.

Workshop chairs will lead overview presentations on the technical papers in each main topic to allow attendees to grasp the main findings of the proceedings and their impact on deep mixing practice and guide attendees to the recordings in the online conference system.  Structured discussion will end the conference highlighting the main trends and topics and suggesting future work and focus areas.
