At the conference on Tuesday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., the Women in Deep Foundations (WiDF) Committee will host their 5th Annual Networking Reception. Industry professionals can mingle to connect with their female and male colleagues to enjoy a speed-networking session, cocktails and great food. All are welcome, but space is limited. The event fee is $25.00.
At the reception, the DFI Educational Trust's WiDF Professional Development Grant Recipients for 2019 will be introduced. Each grant will be awarded to women involved in design and/or construction of deep foundations and sponsor their attendance at the conference. The grant includes free conference registration and covers related expenses for attending the conference.
The DFI Women in Deep Foundations Committee is comprised of women and men who advocate for the retention of women in the deep foundations industry. The goal is to foster greater success and interest of professional women in the industry by promoting networking events, endorsing outreach and building mentoring relationships.

Refunds for Exhibit Booths will not be issued after August 31, 2019. Please refer to your Exhibit Space Agreement for Details.
Refunds for Registration will not be issued after Friday, September 13, 2019. However, you may transfer your registration to another DFI Member.
Images of individuals may be captured by the Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) during events/activities organized and hosted by DFI using still photography, video or any other medium. DFI reserves the right to use such images on the DFI website, in Deep Foundations Magazine, in newsletters and/or other publicity material. By registering and/or participating in a DFI event/activity, the persons whose images are captured during such an event consent to the use of said images by DFI as described above.
As a registrant of this event, and its related activities, you agree to receive email from DFI relating to its events, membership, and publications as well as newsletters, updates, and other announcements.
All runners and walkers are invited to join the DFI Educational Trust 5K Fun Run & Walk on Wednesday, October 16. The race begins at 7:00 a.m., at Grant Park and Lake Front Path. All participants will receive a custom race shirt as part of their participation. Proceeds from the race raise money to provide scholarships to students pursuing careers in the deep foundations engineering and construction industry. An “on-the-run“ breakfast will be provided to each participant.

Shirt/Bib Pick-Up: Runner packets may be picked-up on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, from 6:45 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., at the Hilton Chicago-8th Street Registration Desk, or on-site the morning of the race.
Supporters are welcome to donate to the DFI Educational Trust as General Sponsors in other amounts when registering online.

Distinguished Service Award:
Tom Richards, P.E., D.GE, recently retired from Nicholson Construction, is the recipient of DFI’s highest award to an individual. This award recognizes individuals who have made exceptionally valuable contributions to the advancement of the deep foundations industry.
Outstanding Project Award:
The team of HDR (engineer), PCL Civil Constructors (general and foundation contractor) and North Carolina Department of Transportation (owner) for the innovative foundation design of the Marc Basnight Bridge in the Outer Banks, North Carolina.
