Women in Deep Foundations Networking Reception

At the conference on Tuesday, October 13 at 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., DFI's Women in Deep Foundations (WiDF) Committee will host their 6th Annual Networking Reception.  Industry professionals can mingle to connect with their female and male colleagues and enjoy the camaraderie, cocktails and great food.  All are welcome, but space is limited. The event fee is $25.00.

At the reception, the DFI Educational Trust will announce the recipients of the 2020 WiDF Professional Development Grants.  Grants are awarded to women involved in design and/or construction of deep foundations.  The award covers recipients' attendance at the conference, including conference registration and related conference expenses.

DFI's WiDF Committee comprises women and men who actively seek to enhance professional opportunities for women in the deep foundations industry. The committee's goal is to foster greater success and interest of professional women by promoting networking events, endorsing outreach and building mentoring relationships.

5K Fun Run/Walk

All runners and walkers are invited to join the DFI Educational Trust 5K Fun Run & Walk on Wednesday, October 14. The race begins at 7:00 a.m., at Harbor Trail located on the south-west side of the Gaylord, facing the Potomac River. All participants will receive a custom race shirt as part of their participation. Proceeds from the race provide scholarships to students pursuing careers in the deep foundations engineering and construction industry. An “on-the-run“ breakfast will be provided to each participant.

Shirt/Bib Pick-Up: Runner packets may be picked-up on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, from 6:45 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., outside of Azalea & Camelia meeting rooms (ballroom level), 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Potomac Registration Desk (ballroom level) or on-site the morning of the race.

Supporters are welcome to donate to the DFI Educational Trust as General Sponsors in other amounts when registering online.
