ILTA Event Code of Conduct

 

At ILTA, we are committed to providing all event participants a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for all attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and staff at ILTA events. By attending ILTA events, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.

 

1. Respectful Behavior

• Treat everyone with respect, kindness, and professionalism.
• Refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior.
• Be mindful of your language and actions, ensuring they are respectful and inclusive.

2. Harassment-Free Environment

Harassment includes, but is not limited to:

• Offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, or other protected categories.
• Inappropriate physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention.
• Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
• Sustained disruption of discussions, presentations, or other events.

3. Participation and Collaboration

• Foster a welcoming environment for all participants.
• Engage in open and respectful dialogue.
• Value diverse perspectives and experiences.

4. Compliance with Venue Rules

• Follow all rules and regulations set by the event venue.
• Respect the facilities and property of the event venue and ILTA.

5. Reporting and Consequences

• If you experience or witness any behavior violating this Code of Conduct, please immediately report it to an ILTA staff member.
• ILTA reserves the right to take appropriate action, including warning the offender, expelling them from the event without a refund, or banning them from future ILTA events.
