Speaker Bio
I’m Zachary Marvel — a retired U.S. Army Finance Officer and the President of K-12 Tech, a company I founded while still actively serving in the military.
For 12 years, I served in the U.S. Army as a Finance Officer, ultimately retiring at the rank of Captain. Throughout my military career, I led financial teams, managed multi-million-dollar budgets, ensured compliance, and supported commanders with mission-critical fiscal strategies. The military instilled in me a strong sense of discipline, leadership, and accountability — values that continue to guide my work every day.
While serving in uniform, I launched K-12 Tech in 2012 with the vision of creating a true end-to-end device lifecycle management solution for K-12 schools. What began as a small operation has grown into a nationwide company serving hundreds of school districts. We provide purchasing, white glove deployment, local repairs, parts sourcing, buyback programs, and e-recycling — all under one roof.
Driven by a desire to reduce operational burdens for schools and increase student access to technology, we also developed Rocket, our free asset management and help desk software designed specifically for the education space.
Running a business while serving in the military taught me how to lead under pressure, think strategically, and build systems that serve others. That mindset remains at the heart of everything we do at K-12 Tech.
If you're looking to improve your district’s tech operations or just want to connect around leadership, education, or operational strategy, I’d love to talk.
