Description

Schools are awash in data—but too often, it's overwhelming, underutilized, or misunderstood. Most educators have had little training in how to interpret or apply data meaningfully, leading to surface-level insights, misuse, or complete disengagement. In this session, we’ll explore how to bridge the gap between data availability and data usability. Learn strategies for engaging staff in conversations about the data that matters to them—whether academic, behavioral, demographic, or operational. We’ll examine how to present data in formats that support different roles (teachers, counselors, administrators, etc.), how to build shared understanding and trust, and how to support follow-through that turns numbers into actions. The goal: empower staff to see data not as a burden, but as a valuable tool for solving real problems and supporting student success.
