COPRI Met Section and DFI members proudly present this dynamic technical program featuring government, regulatory and industry presentations on the latest practices and advancements in waterfront design and construction.
Presentations will include project planning, regulatory programs, environmental issues, foundation techniques and equipment, innovative and challenging case histories, and more. Featured presentations include:
- Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) - FEMA's Region II Resiliency Specialist will overview a flood hazard study and the NY/NJ Coastal Restudy project to highlight what is ultimately at stake and what FEMA is trying to achieve in the New York region.
- Saw Mill Creek Pilot Wetlands Mitigation Bank - the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) will discuss the operation and credit program for the first mitigation bank established in New York City.
- Naval Facilities (NAVFAC) Engineering Command Criteria Program -The program's geotechnical lead will present the tri-service criteria program and discuss how NAVFAC utilizes the program to control project quality.
- Port Authority of NY and NJ - Assistant Director of Capital and Port Planning will provide a brief overview of port facilities, recently completed projects, upcoming projects and a long-term planning outlook based on the Port Master Plan released in 2019.
