John is the Senior Vice President, Real Estate Strategy and Operations for Providence St. Joseph Health. He leads a team focused on providing system level leadership in the areas of corporate planning, asset optimization, facilities and construction management. As a practicing emergency physician and capital venture entrepreneur, he brings a unique perspective to healthcare real estate that focuses on the health of the communities we serve. In his role as Chief Medical Officer for Zoic Capital, John provided leadership in managing a collection of early state healthcare and life science venture funds. He holds the distinction of being the first physician certified as a WELL AP by the International Well Building Institute. John has a history of leading large scale strategic initiatives with focus on new market growth, including the development and implementation of new healthcare facilities. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his emergency medicine residency at Michigan State University. Additionally, he earned a Master of Business Administration from Seattle University.
