Description

Minimally-invasive dentistry is a hot topic in dentistry. It's very easy to talk about taking away less tooth structure, but it is more difficult to apply this concept to achieve predictable esthetic and functional results. This course aims to give clinicians the tools needed to successfully and immediately expand the use of minimally-invasive dentistry in daily practice. Course objectives include: understand and apply principles of smile design and analysis of proportions; gain familiarity with several minimally-invasive direct and indirect restorative treatment, techniques and materials; learn how to best utilize transitional composite restorations; understand and implement marginal refinement techniques for indirect restorations; gain familiarity with orthodontic options; and understand how to apply the protocol of combining orthodontic and restorative modalities for esthetic improvement while minimizing tooth reduction.
