Robert is from a small town in Mississippi (Indianola) and started his career with ExxonMobil after completing Master of Information Systems degree from Mississippi State in 2008. He has been with ExxonMobil 16 years holding multiple jobs over his career. Some of those roles were IT Manager for manufacturing sites in the US East region covering 20+ sites from plants to terminals to research facilities. It was in this role he developed a deeper understanding the challenges workers faced in the field when trying to leverage mobile devices. It was this experience that lead to him becoming the IT Product Manager for Maintenance program where he was responsible for 20+ applications utilized at 42 sites globally. That assignment was a steppingstone to him becoming the Global Industrial Mobility Product Manager. In this role, He led a mobility study putting the users perspective as the focus. Based on this study he then built a mobility program to support 20,000 mobile devices using over 50+ applications globally. He now serves as the Global Projects IT Discovery and Strategy Manager working with organization to develop digital strategy that aligns with their Business Strategy
