Peter Sachs is the Head of Airspace Integration at Zipline, where he is responsible for all standards development activities and UTM policy topics. He is the co-chair of the US UTM Implementation Operations Committee, an elected governance body created by the companies deploying UTM shared airspace capabilities, and an ASTM subcommittee chair.

Previously, Peter led the FAA’s work in creating proposed Part 146 to regulate UTM service providers. Peter is leading the creation of a globally harmonized framework within JARUS for assessing UA-UA collision risk, and he is the task group lead within the ICAO AAM Study Group for the UTM Guidance Document. He is a certified flight instructor and was previously an air traffic controller in San Francisco and Chicago.
