He has been with UL Solutions for 39 years with 30 years of experience in product certification for equipment intended for use in Explosive Atmospheres and Hazardous (Classified) Locations.​ Bob represents UL Solutions on over 21 Hazardous Locations technical committees under IEC TC 31, 31J, and 31M for the 60079 and 80079 series of standards.​Bob led the collaboration of UL 6260 publication, Remotely-Operated Inspection and Maintenance Equipment for Hazardous (Classified) Locations, 2026 and is a member of the IEC ahG 61 which is working on the development of international requirements of HazLoc robotics and drones.
