This session examines the growing role of UAS in emergency management, from preparedness and response to recovery and mitigation. Participants will explore how drones are used to support disaster assessment, situational awareness, search and rescue, and coordination during large-scale incidents. The discussion will highlight how UAS integrates into Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) and unified command environments to support real-time decision-making. Emphasis will be placed on pre-planning, interagency coordination, and deploying drones in complex, rapidly evolving situations.
