Hunter Hickman is a secondary ELA educator at Rensselaer Central High School in Rensselaer, Indiana. His work centers on making AI practical, research-grounded, and human-centered rather than hype-driven or fear-driven.

Hunter has conducted classroom-based action research on AI writing feedback tools and led building-level teacher and student surveys to develop evidence-based frameworks for AI use in schools. He has presented on AI in education at the IASP Conference, Purdue AI in P-12 Education Conference, NextTech Month of AI, and CIESC's AI Symposium, among others.

His work returns consistently to one premise: the most important variable in any school is still the person in it.
