A chatbot can produce a passing essay in about nine seconds, which means the academic integrity panic is really a question about assessment design. This session looks at what our assignments have been measuring all along, and how much of that was compliance. We'll sort tasks by what AI can flatten and what it can't get near, then work through a framework for pulling student thinking back into view. Bring an assignment you're proud of. You might leave liking it slightly less, and I'd argue that's the useful outcome.
