Supporting teachers as they grow in their use of technology in the classroom creates opportunities for collaboration and innovation. As coaches and leaders, we bring deep knowledge of instructional practices and technology tools that can enhance learning experiences. At the same time, we must balance our expertise with a learner stance as we work in partnership alongside teachers to integrate new tools in meaningful ways, recognizing that when this balance is off, implementation is less likely to be sustainable for teachers over time.. In this session, participants will explore how technology coaches and leaders can productively participate in coaching conversations that lean into teacher strengths and position themselves as collaborative thinking partners. We will then unpack practical moves for co-planning and co-teaching with a focus on balancing coach expertise and input with the ideas, goals, and instructional strengths of the teacher.
