Matt Nelson is a Cybersecurity Specialist at People Driven Technology, with a deep passion for fostering security excellence and customer success. Matt’s journey began in the early 1990s, starting on a Helpdesk and progressing through various roles in IT, infrastructure, networks, and identity management before making a dedicated shift to cybersecurity around 2010.
With over 30 years of experience working on the customer side, the OEM vendor and reseller side, Matt possesses a unique perspective on the needs of end users, software companies, and partner organizations alike. His hands-on approach and commitment to sharing his expertise have made customer service and client success a central focus of his work.
In addition to his professional achievements, Matt is the Founder and President of the West Michigan chapter of the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), established in 2019. Under his leadership, the chapter has grown into one of the most successful in the country, hosting a variety of meetups, trainings, and the annual CloudCon convention, held every July at LMCU Ballpark.
Matt is also the co-creator and host of the popular cybersecurity podcast Not Another Demo which can be found on various platforms. The mission of the podcast is to break through the noise and get to the heart of what a security vendor is able to do for their clients without the use slide decks, marketing jargon and acronyms.
