Cody DeHaven is an ed-tech enthusiast and seven-year English teacher who has taught grades 7-11. He currently teaches 11th grade ELA at Western High School in Russiaville, IN and has taught successfully in virtual, hybrid, and in-person formats. His experience using a variety of technologies in the classroom, including AI tools, has challenged him to reflect on and improve his teaching practice in a post-AI world. Cody has given presentations on using AI tools in the classroom in the past, and is now interested in the ways that these tools are pushing teachers to rethink their pedagogical paradigm and what it means to demonstrate learning in the classroom. When not in the classroom, Cody enjoys spending time with his wife, Morghan, and daughter, Layla outside, in the sun, and hopefully on the water.
