Phil Boltz, Ph.D. leads the Educational Data and Outcomes team within Information Technology at MCS. He holds a BA in Communication Studies, MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, and a Ph.D. in Educational Studies - Educational Technology. Transitioning from Adult ESL and later Global Higher Education, his present focus is developing systems and structures whereby institutional data first-serves those it is derived from and gathered by. As a long-time community advocate and organizer, providing appropriately-governed data-enablement amongst the community schools encourages data-informed decision support, collaborative intervention design, and systemic improvement.
