Description

From school assemblies and theater productions to concerts and graduations, the auditorium is the heart of a school’s large-group communication and performance. Yet many K–12 spaces face challenges such as outdated audio systems, poor sightlines, or limited flexibility to support the variety of events schools host.

This session will provide a practical overview of modern auditorium technology, including sound reinforcement, stage lighting, projection, and control systems. Attendees will learn how to evaluate their current systems, identify common issues, and prioritize upgrades that deliver the most impact within budget. The discussion will also highlight ways to maximize safety, accessibility, and ease-of-use—ensuring that students, staff, and the wider community can fully benefit from the space.

Drawing on hands-on experience in school auditoriums across Indiana, Force Tech’s Branden Marker will share real-world examples, lessons learned, and actionable recommendations to help districts create reliable, future-ready performance spaces.
