Chelsea Prince is the Outreach Coordinator for the Mississippi Gulf Coast National Heritage Area, a program within the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources dedicated to celebrating the stories, culture, and natural beauty of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. With a deep passion for the outdoors, local history, and the vibrant heritage of coastal communities, Chelsea works to connect people with the landscapes, traditions, and experiences that make this region so unique.
A storyteller at heart, Chelsea is also the author of Carl the Rooster, a children’s book set in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Through her writing, photography, and community outreach, she strives to inspire both residents and visitors to appreciate the coast’s rich cultural tapestry and environmental treasures.
Beyond her professional work, Chelsea enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their three children, ages 13, 11, and 9, exploring beaches, trails, and historic sites that bring the Gulf Coast’s story to life. She finds joy in listening to people’s experiences, capturing the beauty of everyday moments through her lens, and helping others see the extraordinary in the place they call home.
