Scott Spurgeon is a Research Coastal Engineer at the USACE Coastal & Hydraulics Laboratory, as part of the Interagency Airborne Technologies for Lidar, Analysis, and Surveying (I-ATLAS). Scott’s research expertise lies in coastal engineering resilience, leveraging geospatial data and numerical modeling. His notable projects include leading an Engineering with Nature initiative investigating performance metrics of nature-based solutions, co-leading the Next Generation Volume Change Tools initiative under the Coastal Inlets Research Program (CIRP) and contributing to the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI).
