Recognizing the need for high quality place-based learning, Louisiana Sea Grant has been cultivating partnerships with school districts, universities, state agencies, and many others to co-create outdoor learning opportunities. Funded through the National Academies of Science Gulf Research Program, Wetland Days are customized explorations of the habitats near participating schools. Over the past 3 years, Louisiana Sea Grant has engaged with over 1,500 students across coastal Louisiana. Hear some of the successes and challenges Sea Grant has encountered as they have taken their educational programming on the road.
