This project is to use naturally organic and degradable Edge AI device (Such an Edge AI prototype was already developed through 3 NSF projects: #2428981, #2420994, and #2428981 and DOE projects: #DE-SC0025561) for smart water management by building “green” computing systems with nanoscale devices made from natural organic carbohydrate materials. These devices will enable energy-efficient operation, renewable resource use, sustainable device manufacturing, and environmentally friendly disposal, simultaneously addressing challenges in energy, ecology, and environment. The project will also integrate geospatial artificial intelligence (AI) and smart infrastructure modeling to connect device-level innovation with real-world water management applications, thereby ensuring both technological advancement and societal impact.
