Jason Burnside has been a firefighter with the Austin Fire Department for 12 years and is currently the Program Manager for AFD's Robotics Emergency Deployment (RED) Team. He is a member of the IAFF/IAFC Robotics Working Group, the City of Austin's Advanced Air Mobility Committee, and is the TEXGRU Region 6 Coordinator. He holds a Private Pilot and a Remote Pilot Certificate and is pursuing a Master of Science in Uncrewed and Autonomous Systems from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
