Liz Hall is the Manager of Transmission Technical Engineering and Drone Engineering at Eversource Energy. Since founding the Drone Engineering side of the group in 2020, Liz has led its growth into a team of 11 full-time professionals, pioneering the use of drone technology to enhance safety, efficiency, and innovation across the company. As an FAA-certified Part 107 drone pilot, she continues to drive the strategic expansion of drone applications in utility operations.
In her broader role, Liz also oversees technical support for transmission line projects, manages Transmission GIS, and leads disturbance analysis for various outage events. Her team plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and resilience of the transmission system.
Liz began her career in Overhead Transmission Engineering after earning a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in 2007. She gained foundational experience at Vanderweil Engineers and National Grid before joining Eversource in 2015. Over those eight years, she led the design and execution of structure replacement and reconductoring projects, supporting both maintenance and capital initiatives. She has also contributed to regulatory siting efforts for future transmission infrastructure.
Liz lives on the South Shore of Boston with her husband and young daughter.
