Drew Smith began working with drones as an Army Reconnaissance Scout. After a deployment in 2018, he helped manage cyber security issues for the Dept of Veterans Affairs for many years. Today, he is building Lone Star Drone, which performs advanced missions in the Energy, Petroleum, and Survey arenas, including inspecting sensitive government buildings. Last year, Lone Star Drone received awards ranging from Veteran Owned Business of the Year to University of Texas Arlington's Top 100. Drew currently serves as the CEO of Lone Star Drone, overseeing daily operations both nationally and internationally.
