Organized with The Ocean Foundation

Join us for an easy boardwalk bike ride, lunch, and discussion about maritime innovations with an option to explore the Venice Canals by canoe! During an outdoor lunch, we will focus on sustainability in the maritime transportation sector to restore Ocean abundance and help nations achieve the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, especially SDG 14, “Life Below Water.” We will then turn discussion to the Port of Los Angeles as a case study. How did a famously polluting Port achieve better performance by adopting sustainability solutions for shipping and transport and the effects on local communities? Post lunch, continue enjoying discussion on the patio, or, head over to the Venice Canal for an unforgettable canoe tour.

Afterwards, participants will have the opportunity to canoe the canals!
