Walter M. Mischer, Jr., Co-Founder and President of Mischer Healthcare Services, a developer of medical office projects and co-founder of Belmont Senior Living Communities, a national seniors housing company and Partner of Mischer Investments, L.P., a developer of master planned communities.
Co-founded Mischer Neuroscience Institute in partnership with Memorial Hermann Healthcare System and University of Texas Health. Mr. Mischer recently completed co-chairing a $100 million capital campaign for the Mischer Neuroscience Institute located in the Texas Medical Center within the Memorial Hermann and UT campus.
Mr. Mischer serves on boards of the Greater Houston Partnership, Texas Transportation Alliance and Houston Trust Company. He is past Chairman of the Board and was CEO of Memorial Hermann Hospital Texas Medical Center from 1990 – 1993. He is former Chairman of the Board of the Houston Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank. He has previously served as Director for The Southland Corporation, Encore Bancshares, Memorial Hermann Foundation, UT Health and The Houston Zoo.
Mr. Mischer received his BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 1973.
