This session focuses on a 'first look' at implementing Unit 1 of the Open Sci Ed Biology curriculum. The unit-lessons include bundles of standard-performance expectations that are built around an anchoring phenomenon. These units are intentionally designed to allow students to incrementally make sense of phenomena to build understandings and abilities over time through a coherent storyline.
