In this session, participants will explore Louisiana's Social Studies Skills and Practices standards and build a clear understanding of where to locate them and how they are structured. Educators will engage in guided activities that unpack the intent of these standards and examine how they support students in thinking critically, analyzing sources, and constructing evidence-based arguments. By the end of the session, participants will apply the Skills and Practices within their High-Quality Instructional Materials, identifying practical strategies to integrate these skills into daily instruction and strengthen student thinking across grades 6-12.
