Ellie Jurado-Nieves serves as Head of Strategic Public Policy and Assistant General Counsel, Government Affairs, at the Guardian Life Insurance Company. She is responsible for forecasting and developing proactive advocacy positions on key public policy trends impacting the life insurance sector at both the state and federal levels.  Additionally, she provides guidance to executive management on legislative and regulatory issues and oversees Guardian's government affairs initiatives in New York, Florida, Wisconsin, and Puerto Rico.
Prior to her tenure at Guardian, Ellie was Chief of Staff to the President of MetLife International, where she coordinated global business activities, projects, and operations across Asia, Latin America, and Europe. 
Ellie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Fordham University and a Juris Doctorate from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. She also holds an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business with concentrations in Global Business and Leadership.
