Abid Rahman is an accomplished leader in technology risk management, business continuity, and IT compliance, with over 15 years of experience spanning financial services, banking, healthcare, and federal government sectors. As Director of Technology Risk and Business Continuity at Cetera Financial Group, Abid oversees IT Risk Management, Technology Compliance, Third-Party Risk Management, Business Continuity, and the Second Line of Defense Program. He is responsible for developing and executing enterprise-wide strategies that safeguard organizational assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and enable resilient business operations. Prior to his current role, Abid served as Vice President of IT Risk Management & Compliance at East West Bank Corp., where he designed and implemented global Third-party risk assessments programs, IT General Controls risk assessment programs, and led vendor selection and contract negotiations for operations across the United States, China, and Hong Kong. He played a pivotal role in digital transformation initiatives, focusing on omni-channel delivery, customer experience, and the modernization of banking platforms.  Abid’s career also includes consulting and leadership roles at numerous Federal Contracting companies. He has led teams in IT controls testing, policy development, business continuity/disaster recovery planning, and system resiliency testing for organizations such as National Institute of Health (NIH) and Center of Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS). Abid holds multiple industry certifications, including ISACA Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE), Cloud Security Alliance Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), and CompTIA Certified Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP).
