Description
Building codes are on a constant cycle of revision, with model codes updated every three years and adopted at varying times across jurisdictions. As of now, the 2024 model codes have been published, the 2027 development cycle is underway, and many states are transitioning to or enforcing the 2021 editions. For professionals working with doors and hardware, staying up to date on these evolving requirements is essential to ensure safety, accessibility, egress, and code compliance. This session will provide a clear overview of current code requirements and highlight significant changes on the horizon that impact door openings in all building types.
